WELL SOL
WELL SOL
Introduction
The principal operational problem is in regard to the most recommendable concentration for efficient removal of crustations. Undoubtedly, the most recommended and most efficient method is use of concentrated caustic soda solutions (20-25% NaOH and higher). This gives satisfactory removal of organic component in scales and a disintegration of the incrustation. The softened and disintegrated incrustation can easily be washed off from the evaporating surface after this last treatment, The effect of soda in cleaning evaporators is most pronounced in the first bodies. The soda hydrolyzes the organic components of the scales and in many cases treatment with a concentrated soda solution is sufficient for the removal of scales. For complete removal and for the economy in the use of chemicals, it is possible that the body is firstly scraped superficially, as the scale in first bodies of evaporators is usually rather soft in comparison with the scales in the last bodies. Soda treatment of the scales of the last bodies of evaporators does not usually result in complete scale removal. The reason foe this is that the scales in the last bodies are more crystalline and have a much greater hardness and that the amount of insoluble organic matter in the scales is much less than in the first bodies. When concentrated soda solutions are used, It is necessary for the economy that the spent solution be stored for re-use, as other wise the costs of cleaning become exhorbitant. The periodic chemical cleaning of evaporators in cane sugar mill incrustation by caustic soda solution is the most efficient method. However, using this method, it should have a sufficient contact time and sufficient caustic soda solution.
Descrition
WELL SOL is an additive specially formulated to be used in conjunction with caustic soda solutions thus increase disintegrating and dissolving power. Softer scales can easily be removed from the tubes in lesser time.

Descrition
WELL SOL is an additive specially formulated to be used in conjunction with caustic soda solutions thus increase disintegrating and dissolving power. Softer scales can easily be removed from the tubes in lesser time.
Advantages
- Improve wetting, dispersing and dissolving action of the cleaning solution.
- Is highly effective in strong alkaline solution.
- Minimise foam.
- Decrease the cleaning time.
- Reduce caustic soda consumption in cleaning.
From..... White free flowing powder
Solubility..... Soluble in water
Application
WELL SOL is to be used with caustic soda, soda ash or other caustic cleaners.
WELL SOL should be dissolved with water in the small mixing tank to about 10% solution before mixing with caustic soda solution to ensure a complete distribution of additive in the cleaning solution.
The quantity of WELL SOL to be added to caustic soda solution is approximately 2.5 Kgs. per 100 Kgs. of 50% caustic soda solution.
Packaging
WELL SOL is available in plastic bag of 50 Kgs. net.
Handling Precaution
WELL SOL is harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through skin. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, flush with plenty of water for 15 minutes. Get medical attention if necessary.
